What are shutter rails?
Shutter rails are the horizontal members in a shutter panel. Top and bottom rails form the panel structure with the vertical stiles, while divider rails can separate louver sections and add structure.
Rails should be reviewed by their function in the panel, not only by code. A top or bottom rail and a divider rail can have different section requirements even when both are part of the same shutter program.
