Frames, louver blades, rails, stiles, S4S, sill plate, and tilt rod should still be listed clearly in the RFQ, because these terms map to different functions in the shutter system.
Louvers rotate between the stiles. Rails are top, bottom, or divider members of the panel. Frames sit around the window opening. Tilt rod links louver movement. S4S is surfaced-four-sides straight stock used inside a shutter program.
Do not describe shutter components as generic moulding. The visible section, profile code, and shutter-system role should guide the product name.
